The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) needed an identity for the new women's downhill racecourse, Raptor, in anticipation of the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships at Beaver Creek. Adjacent to the historic Birds of Prey men's downhill, VVF challenged us to create a sister mark correlating the design and retaining equity of the existing Birds of Prey. The logo and promotional poster embody a feminine elegance balanced with athletic speed.

VAIL/BEAVER CREEK, CO (Feb. 6. 2015)—The FIS Alpine World Ski Championship women’s downhill was run down the famed Raptor course in Beaver Creek, CO on Friday. Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) was the top finishing American, taking fifth place.
